Well, I just screwed up, it seems.
I was following along a tutorial about building D8 themes from scratch. The tutorial started going into edits to a settings.local.php, etc. in order to turn off twig caching. At a certain point, I realized it was too advanced for me, so I reverted my changes and went to work on other stuff….
But, I wasn’t so lucky. now I getting errors in the admin, even though I reverted my changes:
Configuration directories: Not present
Your sites/twg.dd/settings.php file must define the $config_directories variable as an array containing the names of directories in which configuration files can be found. It must contain a sync key.
Trusted Host settings: Not enabled
The trusted_host_patterns setting is not configured in settings.php. This can lead to security vulnerabilities. It is highly recommended that you configure this. See Protecting against HTTP HOST Header attacks for more information.
(This isn’t on a server. It’s on localhost.)
I tried removing the settings.php to see what would work, if it went back to default.settings.php. This takes me to the whole drupal initial set-up page. Not what I want. I already have stuff set up.
For reference, it was this tutorial, starting at the 5:30 mark, and where I stopped was at the 8:00 mark:
