I want to upgrade my D 7.61 site to a new D 8.6.3 site. I have to note that I’m totally new to composer, drush and command line. Installing Drupal and contributed modules with composer worked fine. Now I want to migrate my old site using drush, because I wanna migrate configuration and content separately. (I tested migration using the GUI. That worked to some extend but there was too much configuration work left.)
I entered this command:
drush migrate-upgrade --legacy-db-url=mysql://user:[email protected]/db --legacy-root=http://example.com --configure-only
Of course with the right user, DB etc. Then I received this error:
SQLSTATE[HY000] php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failes: Name or service not known
Of course there is a connection to the database. This is my first time with drush! I don’t know if there is some work necessary after installing it.
I followed Drupal’s recommendation for installing composer and used the package “drupal-composer/drupal-project”, which includes drush and other settings. So I thought everything would work out of the box. But it doesn’t …
