View that shows all child nodes using node hierarchy module

I’m using the Node Hierarchy module to create child nodes and I would like to have a View that shows those child nodes on the parent node. I enabled the ‘Node Hierarchy Children Embed’ module and that shows the Views that were enabled with that module but when I choose one on the node edit page nothing shows up.

I built a new View with the only field being ‘Title’. If I set no other filters or relationships then I see the title of every node on the page so obviously the View is showing up. I cannot get the View to limit itself to only child pages though. I set up a contextual filter using “Node Hierarchy: Parent Node ID”. Where is states “WHEN THE FILTER VALUE IS NOT AVAILABLE” I have “Hide View”. Am I supposed to do anything under the section “WHEN THE FILTER VALUE IS AVAILABLE OR A DEFAULT IS PROVIDED”? I tried various settings in there but nothing I tried worked. The View simply never shows up.

I’m sure it’s something simple that I’m missing but so far it’s eluding me. Any thoughts?
